The 2009 Annual Summer Ballet Festival
will run in Moscow
from June 25 till September 25



The Summer Ballet Festival is an event aimed at popularizing classical ballet art as national property.

In keeping with the traditions the Summer Ballet Festival in Moscow each year brings together different classic and modern ballet ensembles. One of the characteristic features of the festival is a symphonic accompaniment.

All the performances will take place at the Moscow State Academic Music Theatre named after Natalia Satz.


The ballet performances of the festival will present works of the following theatres:

  • “Russian State Ballet” under the direction of national artist of the USSR Vyacheslav Gordeev
  • Moscow State Academic Children's Music Theatre named after Natalia Satz under the direction of national artist of Russian Federation Vladimir Kirillov
  • National Russian Ballet “Vozrozhdenie” under the direction of Valery Anuchin
  • Symphony Orchestra of the Summer Ballet Festival, art director and main band-master is Konstantin Khvatynetz

 

You will see the best ballet masterpieces : the golden triad by Tchaykovsky - “Swan Lake”, “The Nutcracker”, “The Sleeping Beauty”; “Giselle” by Adam, “Don Quixote”, one act ballets by Stravinsky, Ravel, Chopin, modern and classical premieres and other famous performances.
