The National Russian Ballet “Vozrozhdenie” was founded by ballet-master Valery Anuchin in 1999. It gathered dancers from the Stanislavsky and Nemerovich-Danchenko Theater, theaters in St. Petersburg, Voronezh and others.
Since its foundation The National Russian Ballet “Vozrozhdenie”participated in many performances like:
- Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker in 1999;
- “Carnival Night” in 2000;
- Maya Plisetskaya' 75th anniversary celebration in 2000;
- “Don Quixote” and “Dibouk” performances with renowned russian ballerina Nina Ananiashvili and Sergey Filin, “Golden Mask” festival in 2003;
- collaboration with Andris Liepa;
- International Arts Festival Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk in 2001, 2002, 2003;
- XII International Festival of Film Actors in Summer 2002;
- New Year performances for children “Snow White”, “Puss in Boots”, “The Very Emelya”, “Robin Hood”, “School of Wonders” (New Year performance in the Kremlin) in 2001-2002;
- staging of performances “Little Tragedies of the XX-th century”, “Bolero” by Ravel in 2001;
- solo programs with Anastasia Volochkova;
- production of two-act ballet “Rasputin”.
The National Russian Ballet “Vozrozhdenie” collaborates with ballet stars like Farukh Ruzimatov, Aydar Akhmetov, Rinat Arifullin, Irina Surneva. It has taken part in government concerts and worked on many Moscow stages: the Russian State Academic Theater, the State Kremlin Palace, the State Central Concert Hall “Rossia”, “Gostiny Dvor”, the Column Hall, the Reception Hall of the Russian Federation.
The Theatre has successfully toured in the US, Israel, Switzerland, China, India, Baltic countries, Odessa, Kiev, Moscow, St. Petersburg and others.
